Directions to Office:
Take the elevator in the University Business Center to the 3rd floor. Turn left down the first hallway and you will see sign for office 78.
Early, Late, and Weekend Arrivals
If you arrive before 8:30 AM, after 5:30 PM, or on a weekend, the building or security gate may be locked. In that case, please call or text 206-207-0463 to let me know you've arrived. I’ll come to let you in. If I don’t respond right away, please leave a voicemail—I’m likely with a patient and will come get you as soon as I can.
Parking Information
Free One-Hour Parking:
Garage and Lot Parking (Validated):
Free validated parking is also available in spots numbered 1–157 in the lot to the north of the building, which includes both the open-air section and the 2nd and 3rd floors of the adjacent parking garage. Enter this lot via 47th Street, near the corner of 9th Ave and 47th.
Note: The lower level of the garage is reserved for Trader Joe’s only.
How to Register for One Hour of Free Parking:
Park in one of the eligible spots (1–157).
Go to the pay station in the garage (located near stall #73, northeast corner).
Press any button to activate the screen.
Enter your license plate number, then press OK.
Select Option 5: More Selections.
On the next screen, choose Option 1: Biz Ctr – 1 Hour Free.
Enter the validation code 4500.
Take the printed receipt and place it on your dashboard.
Accessible Parking:
The lot directly across the street is paid parking, except for those with a valid disabled parking placard or license plate issued by Washington State. Those individuals may use any accessible space in that lot free of charge.
Paid Parking (Across the Street on 9th):
The lot across 9th Ave is managed by Diamond Parking. You can pay using a debit card, the Call to Park or Pay by Phone apps, or by calling the number on the signage. For issues or questions about parking, contact Diamond Parking at 206-729-0590 or 800-828-4197.
Street Parking:
Street parking is available around the building from 7 AM to 6 PM. Both paid and free options are present—be sure to check posted signs carefully.
Public Transit Options
Light Rail:
The U District light rail station is located three blocks from the office. Exit the station and walk north on Brooklyn Ave NE to NE 45th St. Turn left on NE 45th, continue to 9th Ave, and turn right. The business center is just ahead on the right.
Bus Access:
A major bus stop hub is located within a block of the center. Bus routes run nearby on Roosevelt Way NE and NE 45th St.
